Renate de Lange is a Partner at PwC Netherlands and a member of PwC’s Global Sustainability Leadership team. With a career at PwC spanning over almost three decades since joining in 1996, Renate has taken on numerous leadership roles, from Tax Advisor to leading the Private Wealth Practice and serving as the Regional Leader for Southwest Netherlands. In 2008, she was appointed Partner and later joined the Dutch Executive Board, where she was responsible for Brand, Marketing, and Go-to-Market strategy, next to leading the Family Capital Practice in the Netherlands.
Renate has played a pivotal role in developing PwC’s sustainability agenda across the Netherlands and the EMEA region. She has led initiatives in decarbonization, integrated reporting, and community engagement. Currently, as the Global Sustainability Markets Leader and EMEA Sustainability Leader, she is driving transformation programs and global activation campaigns that focus on innovation and unlocking long-term value through sustainability. In 2025 she also assumed the Global Leadership role for Sustainability across Tax, Legal Services, leading our global portfolio of offerings to support clients to navigate and anticipate a rapidly evolving and complex regulatory landscape so they can drive growth across their business.
In addition to her global role, Renate partners with family businesses, aiding them in building a resilient forward looking business models, to create growth for their organisations and stakeholders. Her leadership is characterized by an ability to work across silos, fostering collaboration, trust, and open-mindedness, qualities essential for addressing today’s most pressing systemic challenges. Renate believes that leading change and growth requires us to stretch ourselves and embrace new perspectives.
