Digital dashboard gives airline a better idea of terms and conditions of employment

With the aid of an advanced digital dashboard, this airline has a clear overview of the various terms and conditions of employment within the company. It can now make quicker and better decisions on work and pay.

What was the problem?

The airline’s staff have a variety of different terms and conditions of employment, and are often subject to various complex arrangements. A clear overview was therefore necessary at several different levels. Because the data on terms and conditions is located in various different systems, combining it – manually – was a laborious and time-consuming task for the airline. 

So what was the solution?

To find a solution, PwC’s specialists used the “compensation & benefits dashboard”. With that digital tool, we translated all the data on terms and conditions from the payroll tax return, the HR database, and the payroll database into visualisations. This provided a clear understanding of the current terms and conditions, the composition of the workforce, and the tax compliance. Because the dashboard is based on standard available data sources, it can be updated each month. 

And what’s the result?

With the aid of the dashboard, the airline is now able to quickly gain an insight into relevant developments in the area of work and pay. It can also detect peculiarities and irregularities more quickly. It is now in a better position to take facts-based decisions on terms and conditions of employment, for example when workers’ needs change or during collective bargaining.
