The need for transparent and independent valuations

Social developments and stricter legislation and regulations are increasing the need for transparent and independent real estate valuations day by day. From the perspective of its independent role, PwC Real Estate Advisory & Valuations supports with real estate valuations for a variety of purposes, with transparency, comprehensiveness and objectivity being paramount. PwC’s valuation team comprises RICS- and NRVT-registered surveyors, ensuring that the highest professional and ethical standards are adhered to. 

Real estate valuations are carried out for a variety of purposes with their own value terms:

  • Market value for the commercial balance sheet, financing and real estate sale/purchasing.
  • Fair value accounting for the benefit of the fiscal balance sheet.
  • Fair value accounting for the purposes of splitting purchase prices into a land and buildings component.
  • Value under the Valuation of Immovable Property Act (Woz) for the purposes of optimizing local taxes and tax depreciation.
  • Ascertaining depreciation rate of buildings for the benefit of the (fiscal) balance sheet.

Furthermore, the PwC valuation team will perform market analyses underpinning real estate and/or business transactions. We will also provide value-related input as part of strategic advice.
