The Johan Cruyff Foundation

For more than twenty years now, we have been proud partner of the Johan Cruyff Foundation (‘JCF’). Their worldwide mission ‘Creating Space for Children, is perfectly aligned with our purpose to build trust in society and solve important problems.

We support the JCF in their mission to solve the opportunity gap by giving disadvantaged and vulnerable children the opportunity to play sports, by providing room to move, to get together, to learn and to build self confidence.

As partner of the first hour, we don’t just contribute financially, we also offer the knowledge and expertise of our own people. In the years of our partnership we have supported the JCF in the area of fiscal issues on subjects like VAT, gift and inheritance tax. This has enabled the JCF to further professionalise and expand the organisation to where it is today.

As part of this partnership, we are also now one of the main sponsors of the Cruyff Legacy 14K. Because we believe in the unifying power of sports and because it contributes to your wellbeing. Furthermore, it is a fun way for our people to make their own contribution to this partnership.

Thank you for 29 years of partnership

Royal Dutch Football Association

PwC was a proud sponsor of the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) from 1991 to 2020. We were and we remain committed to Dutch football and to our national teams. Our sponsorship made it possible to cheer them on at matches with our guests, students and staff. It also helped to boost our name recognition.

We also shared our knowledge with the KNVB. For example, we worked with the Association to organise information evenings for football clubs on preparing for the new European payment system (IBAN). We did the same for various tax-related matters affecting amateur football clubs in particular, such as wage tax and VAT.

Renate de Lange-Snijders, Member of PwC’s Board of Management: ‘To build on our brand promise “Let's create tomorrow”, we have embarked on a new journey with the PwC brand and we want to have the latitude and freedom to decide on the most appropriate sponsorship activities going forward. It goes without saying that we cannot simply end a relationship of almost thirty years’ standing. The KNVB will always hold a special place in our hearts. We are grateful to the KNVB for this extraordinary partnership.'
