This document sets out the tax strategy of PwC Netherlands as well as the implications of this tax strategy for our relationships with clients and third parties with which we do business.
We inform our stakeholders, clients and third parties with which we do business regarding our approach, as we consider this to be a vital part of our purpose to build trust in society and solve important problems and our role in the further development of sustainable tax. The views presented in this tax strategy are those of the Dutch PwC firm.
In this document, we describe how we implemented our tax strategy between September 2019 and June 2020. In September 2019 we published our tax strategy. In our view, being transparent about our approach to tax also includes being transparent about the progress of implementing our tax strategy. Through this transparency, we provide guidance in times of uncertainty and a rapidly changing tax environment.
In this document we have provided details about our tax contribution for financial year 2021. We have measured the tax that we have contributed in line with the tax reporting standard 207 of the Global Reporting Initiative. As included in our tax strategy, we want to be transparent about our tax approach and this also includes being transparent about our tax contribution.
