To create crisis preparedness, the different roles and processes should be practiced. This is very effective by running a simulation which is a major challenge with a high learning value for participants in understanding the importance of communication and transparency in times of crisis. The scenario follows a cyber attack, whereby the participants are challenged to manage the direct implications as well as the long-term impact on the business, such as limiting reputational damage.
Investing the time to practice responding to realistic scenarios enables companies to further identify gaps and strengths during “peace time”. Perhaps more importantly, both individuals and teams begin to build critical muscle memory that will carry them through a response to any crisis.
“No matter how difficult this turns out to be. Very well designed simulation game that immediately put you in a ‘real’ crisis. The input of Peter van Uhm was also very inspiring”
We can offer the simulation in a classroom setting, but also in an online environment, involving stakeholders from different workforces. The exercise can be performed in 3-5 hours.
