Wim van Rooij

As a partner in the PwC Assurance practice, I specialize in services provided to large national and international (listed) globalized companies.

In addition to auditing financial statements and specific accounting reports to supervisory authorities, I am experienced in the area of restructuring, transactions, (de)listings, internal control, corporate governance and risk management. I am also currently building up knowledge in the field of ESG reporting. All services are provided in a European/IFRS/Dutch GAAP context.

My current portfolio consists of globalized companies with mostly private equity shareholders and subgroups of foreign enterprises. For several years, I was also actively involved in mergers and acquisitions in our Transaction Services practice.

I am a Quality Assurance Partner and member of the Management Team of our southern assurance practice responsible for quality and risk management.

My strengths are that I have a critical eye and am independent, flexible, hands-on and pragmatic. As client relationship partner, I ensure that companies receive the high-quality services that they expect from PwC.

In addition to my role in the PwC assurance practice, I am co-founder of PwC’s CFO and Finance platforms in the South of the Netherlands, and Vinolapriso, a network of wine aficionados in the Eindhoven region.

In my spare time I like such things as traveling, theater, movies, concerts, cycling, wine, dining, cars, reading and listening to music.
