Partner, PwC Netherlands
With a background in international tax advice, (university) teaching and the Dutch judiciary, I specialise in giving advice and opinions on complex technical matters in the areas of corporate income tax law, international and European tax law, including fiscal state aid law. Furthermore, I assist clients in the area of formal and procedural tax law, in dialogues with the tax authorities, dispute resolution and tax proceedings. I am a member of the Dutch Opinion Committee and the EUDTG Technical Committee, providing comfort on technical questions in the area of domestic, international and European tax law. Although I provide assistance to clients throughout our tax practice, my primary focus relates to (listed) multinational companies.
“Companies are faced with a rapidly changing legal environment, leading to increased uncertainties and questions on the content and impact of that environment in relation to their activities. Questions regarding the interpretation and applicability of rules and regulation to business activities can easily arise and lead to differences of interpretation. In these dynamics, the dialogue with various stakeholders, including the government authorities, also requires attention. With my broad experience, I work with companies to solve business related tax technical challenges, to provide clarity on tax positions, to avoid conflict and to assist in case of conflicted situations.”
