We are pleased to announce that PwC will be organizing the Risk Summer School for the first time in September 2025. During this Summer School, we will extensively cover various topics. We will delve deeper into relevant updates in the fields of risk management, internal control, and artificial intelligence. Additionally, we will work on the soft skills you need as a professional to effectively convey your message and make an even greater impact on your business stakeholders.

The Risk Summer School is highly suitable for (future) Heads of Internal Control who want to work on:

  • Learning from and with other (future) Heads of Internal Control

The level of the training is HBO (Higher Professional Education) and is also suitable for anyone with experience or affinity with the subject.

Who are the trainers?

The Risk Summer School is organized and led by Steven Hordijk, Director of Risk Transformation at PwC. Together with his colleague Suzan Leenders, they will facilitate this Summer School.

The trainers are employed within PwC and have extensive knowledge and experience in providing training on the selected topics. Each topic is delivered by a different trainer/expert.

Costs

The costs for attendance are €795 including training materials and catering. The training is exempt from VAT due to our registration with the CRKBO. PwC alumni are eligible for a 10% discount on the price of the Risk Summer School.

The Open and Inhouse programs look as follows

The training consists of both online learning and classroom sessions. With our online learning modules, you will gain the necessary knowledge about Pyramid Thinking. You can follow these modules at your own pace and time. During the meetings, we will build further on this knowledge.

The open training will be conducted in English.

Participation

The training will take place with a minimum of 15 participants.

The registration period generally closes two weeks before the training date. Upon receiving your registration, we will send you a confirmation with additional information about the training. The number of seats available per training is limited, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible. If you are unable to attend, you may send a colleague in your place. Please notify us of this change via email at nl_pwc_academy@pwc.com.

PE-Portfolio accountants (AA and RA)

You can include this training course as a learning activity in your PE portfolio. After the training course, you will receive a certificate of participation (number of hours of training included).

PE points register controllers (RC)

At the end of the training course you will receive a certificate of participation from us with the number of hours of training followed. You can register this yourself on the VRC website.
