Overview e-learning

This module covers the key aspects of the CSRD and introduces the learner to the ESRSs and its future developments.

The module “Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)” explains the build up of the CSRD and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). It explains the purpose and objectives of the CSRD and the ESRS. Participants learn about the materiality assessment, cross-cutting standards, and industry-agnostic standards, as well as the implementation efforts required. This module also addresses the distinction between governance/ESG ambition/impact, risks and opportunities, and metrics and targets, as well as the mandatory disclosures that are always applicable.

The learning objectives of this e-learning are:

  • Understand why the CSRD is replacing the NFRD;

  • Explain the objectives, scope and timeline of the CSRD;

  • Understand how the CSRD fits within the wider sustainable finance regulatory framework;

  • Understand the key aspects of the CSRD with a deep dive into double materiality and the value chain;
