On September 10, the annual Alumni Event Utrecht took place at PwC Utrecht. After a welcome and update by branch manager Richard Kraan, Elja Vegter from the Data & AI team discussed the impact of GenAI on the financial role. Good discussion about the developments, opportunities and risks. Afterwards, there was plenty of time to catch up with the 30 alumni and PwC colleagues while enjoying snacks and drinks.
On Wednesday, September 11, the Alumni Event Maastricht took place at Film theatre Lumière in Maastricht. The alumni and PwC employees were welcomed by Mark Hodiamont, assurance director at the Maastricht office. After a brief update on the developments at PwC, Mark gave the floor to the alumni, who each told something about what they are currently working on. Afterwards, there was plenty of time to chat with (former) colleagues.
This year, the Alumni Event NoordWest took place again at StrandZuid in Amsterdam. With more than 50 alumni and colleagues, we came together for summer networking drinks. Martin Bond, regional leader NoordWest, welcomed everyone and Barbara Baarsma, Chief Economist at PwC, gave an update on the economic developments at that time. The alumni and PwC-colleagues kept on talking for a long time!
The second edition of the Alumni Event Public Sector took place on November 12 at the PwC Experience Centre. With a great turnout of a broad and varied group of Alumni (now working for our clients in the Public Sector) and PwC colleagues, it was a very successful event. The program focused on AI and Sustainability, preceded by an interactive update on the developments in the Public Sector. During the walk-in and afterwards during the drinks, guests could also try out the latest VR Experience, which was well received. There were many chats during the network opportunity.
On Thursday, November 14, the biennial Alumni Event Deals took place again at de Hallen in Amsterdam. After an update on PwC and specifically Deals by Remco van Daal, there was plenty of time to catch up with former colleagues while enjoying a walking dinner. We look forward to meeting again in 2 years!
On Tuesday, November 19th, the first alumni event for the Financial Services industry took place. We had a great pleasure in welcoming former colleagues at the Experience Center in our Amsterdam office. After a tour of the Experience Center and a presentation by Jan Willem Velthuijsen on recent macroeconomic developments, there was time to reminisce and catch up over food and drinks. We look back on a successful afternoon and hope to welcome many FS Alumni again next year!
