Internal control and governance of your tax position are becoming increasingly important. External stakeholders are paying close attention to the existence and effectiveness of internal processes and control measures. During this training, we first cover the theoretical framework and then work in smaller groups on the key elements involved in developing a tax strategy. You will gain insight into how to set up a risk control matrix and a RACI (an overview of roles and responsibilities). In addition, we will discuss various options for testing the effectiveness of control measures and for documenting and following up on the outcomes, enabling you to further strengthen the learning cycle within your organisation. Attention will also be paid to developments in the field of digitalisation.
