The module "Climate Risk Identification Basics" is designed to level up the understanding of climate risk identification. It provides a comprehensive understanding of climate-related risks and their impact on risk categories, as well as their transmission channels. All basics are covered, as well as an in-depth introduction to different risk categories such as physical and transition risk. By the end of this course, learners have basic knowledge and skills on how to identify and mitigate climate-related risks.

I3B: Climate risk identification tools for Banks

The "Climate Risk Identification Tools" module is designed to provide an understanding of the risk identification process and specific tools that can be used to identify climate-related risks. The course also explores the link between climate risks and financial risks faced by banks and the banking sector as a whole.

I4A: Climate risk assessment - methods and tools for Banks

The module "Climate Risk Assessment - Methods and Tools" aims to provide learners with an introduction to assessing climate-related risks, including the tools and methods that can be used to do so. The module covers topics such as the severity of climate risks, different approaches to climate risk assessment, and testing the impact of climate risks on various sectors. By the end of the module, learners have a basic understanding of how to identify, measure, and evaluate the potential effects of climate-related risks, helping them make more informed decisions regarding climate risk management.

I4B: Climate risk assessment - scenario analysis for Banks

The module "Climate Risk Assessment - Scenario Analysis" provides an overview of how to use climate scenario analysis as a tool for risk management. This course explores the development of climate scenarios, including the methodologies and data sources used to create them. Additionally, it discusses the challenges associated with applying climate scenarios to risk management, such as uncertainty and data gaps. By the end of this module, learners have a better understanding of how scenario analysis can be used to assess the impact of climate-related risks on their organization.

I5: Climate risk steering and monitoring for Banks

The module “Climate risk steering and monitoring” aims to provide an overview of various methods financial institutions can use to steer climate-related risks. It also focuses on practical examples of how financial institutions can translate and integrate the implications of climate-related risks into their business strategy, processes as well as their risk management. Additionally, the course elaborates on the importance and role of climate-related risk monitoring and how risk monitoring links to both internal and external reporting.

Duration: 36 minutes
