We are pleased to announce that PwC will once again host the Internal Audit Summer School in September 2026, designed for current and aspiring Heads of Internal Audit. This year’s edition will be facilitated in English.

Over the course of two days, we will explore a range of topics, including emerging trends in the profession, Thought Leadership insights, PwC’s state-of-the-art solutions, and key skills essential for Internal Audit leaders.

About this course

Inhoud Summer School

  • Exploring what characterises an effective strategy, how strategic risks are assessed, and what this means for the IA strategy, including activities, methodologies and technology.
  • Discussing the key geopolitical trends and their impact on organisations and the internal audit function.
  • Engaging in a conversation with a stakeholder about a current or strategic issue.
  • Examining current developments in audit planning, assurance mapping and competency management within audit teams.
  • Analysing structural audit outcomes and their implications for Accountability and Investigation Reports, including trends, risks and liability considerations.
  • Sharing PwC’s experiences with AI adoption and translating these into the development of an AI roadmap, with attention to governance, risks, tooling and change.

For whom?

The IA Summer School is ideally suited for (future) Heads of Internal Audit who want to spend two intensive days working on:

  • Skills and knowledge about hot topics

  • Updating technical expertise

  • Essential skills for Internal Audit 

  • Learning from and with other (future) Heads of Internal Audit

The program is at a higher education level and is also suitable for anyone with experience or affinity with the subject.

Who are the trainers?

The Internal Audit Summer School is organized and led by Anoep Singh, Senior Manager in PwC’s Internal Audit Services department. Together with Maureen Nieste, they will serve as hosts and guide you through an inspiring two-day program.

Our trainers are experienced professionals within PwC, bringing deep expertise and practical insights on the selected topics. Each subject will be delivered by a dedicated trainer to ensure high-quality and focused learning.

Costs

The costs for attendance for the two-day IA Summer School are €2050, including two lunches and dinner on the first evening. The training is exempt from VAT due to our registration with the CRKBO. PwC alumni are eligible for a 10% discount on the IA Summer School fee (not applicable to accommodation).

Hotel

Accommodation is not included in the program. Hotel Artemis Amsterdam is within walking distance of PwC Amsterdam. If you wish to book a stay, please contact the hotel directly. Rates depend on availability; no fixed price agreements have been made.

You can include this training as a learning activity in your PE portfolio. After completing the training, you will receive a certificate of participation stating the number of training hours attended.

PE Points for Chartered Controllers / Registered Operational Auditors (RC/RO) 

After completing the training, you will receive a certificate of participation stating the number of training hours attended. You can register this yourself on the VRC/IIA website.

The registration period generally closes two weeks before the training date. Upon receiving your registration, we will send you a confirmation with additional information about the training. The number of seats available per training is limited, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible. If you are unable to attend, you may send a colleague in your place. The training will take place with a minimum of 12 participants.
