Transparency Report 2024/2025

In this Transparency Report, the Executive Board of PricewaterhouseCoopers Accountants N.V. reflects on the fiscal year 2024/2025. The Board reviews various developments that took place in the past year and that have increased the breadth and relevance of the work of accountants. The Public Interest Committee (CPB) and the Young Assurance Board detail their activities, and the report also provides a forecast of the coming year’s challenges and opportunities. Transforming for the future

Our clients are more than ever faced with the challenge of dealing with geopolitical tensions. Trade and cyber wars – accompanied by import tariffs and necessary investments in defence – create threats, but also opportunities. Developments are progressing faster, leading to more unpredictably and uncertainty, making it more challenging for our clients to respond adequately or anticipate where possible. How they tackle the challenges they face, and how they stay on track with their strategy and adjust as necessary, will determine the success of their organisation. And naturally, this applies just as much to our own organisation.

We aim to be the pre-eminent provider of services that help to build trust in society and solve important problems. We have to further shape our transformation in order to keep meeting our clients' and society's high expectations. Our newly developed PwC Professsional Framework places greater emphasis on desired behaviours to optimise trusted leadership and achieve sustained outcomes. Also, we continue to invest in innovative technology including artificial intelligence because we are convinced that AI will play an increasingly significant role in our services.
