A couple of the notable ones are:
- B&S Group S.A. completed the acquisition of Tastemakers BV
- Stelz BV was acquired by Heineken N.V. and L’Arche Green NV
The most active sector (in number of deals) in May was Accommodation with 19 deals, as shown by:
- Ares Management Corp and EQ Group Ltd acquiring 18 hotels from Land Securities Group plc
- Mitsis Hotels, acquiring Messonghi Beach Holiday Resort
- Kartesia Management SA acquiring Hotelatelier.
Several potential acquisitions and exits are also being explored. To name a few:
- Dutch company Cosmetique Totale, backed by BB Capital Management, seeks to continue acquiring peers in its markets, including Benelux, France and Germany
- Belgian tomato grower Den Berk Délice is looking for a new shareholder that can sustain its growth in Europe
- Euro Shoe Group, the company behind the Bristol shoe and clothing stores, is looking for a buyer
