“If you want steep learning, real responsibility, and the chance to work on international deals, PwC Deals is the place.”

Why did you choose PwC?

I was looking for an international company where I could grow and keep learning. I developed an interest in M&A during my studies, and the Edge traineeship turned out to be the perfect fit. Not only do you receive training and coaching, but you also work on large deals for international companies.

What do you enjoy about your work?

The projects I work on usually take place in completely different industries, which is quite normal during the first few years before you specialise. At first, you don't know anything about the industry you're working in, yet you can add value quickly. Approaching a problem as an outsider makes it easier to break it down and untangle it.

What can you tell about your team / What does your team look like?

You'll be working in a collaborative and international team consisting of people with all kinds of work and educational backgrounds. We work across the full deals lifecycle and continuously share knowledge through knowledge sessions and benchmarks. Besides that, we also enjoy plenty of fun activities together, such as team dinners, drinks, and an annual ski/summer trip.

How do you view the work‑life balance at PwC?

PwC places a strong focus on wellbeing. This translates into an annual wellbeing budget to support your wellbeing. There is also a wellbeing portal that centralises all support, which positively contributes to the working environment.

What I appreciate about PwC

I enjoy the pace and the learning curve at PwC. Every project brings a new industry context and a different value‑creation puzzle, and I get to work with smart, driven people who hold a high bar for quality. I also appreciate the ownership I get early on. There’s a real sense that the work matters, as our recommendations shape investment decisions.

How would you describe the work atmosphere at PwC?

PwC offers a professional, high‑energy, and supportive atmosphere. People are approachable, and there is a real emphasis on learning by doing, asking questions, and trying new approaches. We also celebrate wins as a team.

How does PwC support your career path?

The EDGE Deals program gave me a structured launch: three rotations across the deals spectrum, global training modules, and a dedicated career coach. Beyond EDGE, there is a clear progression framework, and formal training in everything from analytics and storytelling to leadership. I’ve been encouraged to shape my own path and focus on sectors I’m enthusiastic about.

What would you like to say to your future colleagues?

If you want steep learning, real responsibility, and the chance to work on international deals, PwC Deals is the place. You start with a group of trainees you can connect with throughout your time at PwC. You’ll work with skilled and driven colleagues, gain exposure across the full deal lifecycle, and build a toolkit that applies across industries and geographies.
You will also travel to Madrid within your first weeks for the EMEA Edge event, where you will meet trainees from different cultures and have the opportunity to expand your professional network. I’m sure you’ll have a great time here!
