The best moment? When an idea becomes reality

International challenges often bring together different interests, perspectives and ways of working. That's exactly what makes the work both challenging and interesting.

'And maybe that's the most rewarding part of my work: seeing an idea grow into something that gets others excited.'

The best part of my job? Seeing an idea that once only existed on paper become reality. You work with a client to develop a solution, see them get excited about it and eventually watch it being implemented successfully. That's when you truly see the impact of your work.

More than tax issues

I help large international companies optimize and maintain their corporate income tax position. That may sound quite technical, but in practice it's often about solving complex challenges within international organizations.

It's about more than just the technical side of things. I help clients think through solutions that work in practice and support them in making choices that fit their organization.

Mexico

One project I particularly enjoyed involved helping a client design their corporate structure. Together, we explored different ideas and looked at what would best fit the organization.

What made it extra special was that I later had the opportunity to present the solution to the client in Mexico. That's when you really see something you've contributed to come to life. Moments like that are what make the job special to me.

That business trip also showed me how international the work can be. No two days are the same, and sometimes a project takes you somewhere you never expected to go.

'It's not just about the technical content. It's about creating solutions that work in practice.'

Learning from the people around you

The people I work with have had the biggest impact on my growth at PwC. Of course, I learn a lot from experienced colleagues, but I also learn from the people who started their careers around the same time as I did.

Every day, you discover something new. Sometimes it's about the technical side of the work, sometimes it's about collaboration, and sometimes it's about yourself. Because you constantly work with different people, you keep developing.

You're stronger together

Teamwork plays a major role in that. Especially at the start of your career, you learn a lot from the people around you. But honestly, that never really changes, regardless of your level.

One thing I enjoy is that you rarely work on a challenge alone. Everyone brings their own expertise, ideas and perspective. By working together, you often arrive at better solutions than you would on your own. And when you achieve a great result together, that makes it even more rewarding.

Collaboration also requires flexibility. I regularly work with colleagues from different teams and countries, all with their own ways of working and communicating. Precisely because of that, you gain new insights and keep developing yourself.

'It's often the different perspectives around the table that lead to the best solution.'

Open and human

I would describe the culture at PwC as open, supportive and down-to-earth. Of course, people work hard, but there's also a strong focus on collaboration, development and enjoying what you do.

For me, that's what makes the difference. You're given the space to share ideas, learn from others and build something together. And maybe that's the best part of my job: seeing an idea grow into something that others are genuinely excited about as well.

Would you like to work on international challenges, keep learning from the people around you and help develop solutions that truly work?
