I help clients solve complex challenges that arise in the international tax landscape. That requires technical expertise, of course, but just as importantly, it requires listening carefully, thinking things through together and finding solutions that work in practice.
No two challenges are the same. Every situation requires a different approach, and that's what keeps the work varied. What I enjoy most is working with colleagues and clients to gradually turn complexity into something understandable and manageable.
One experience that had a significant impact on me was spending one day a week working at a client. I stepped into a new environment, worked with new people and experienced a completely different way of collaborating.
It gave me the opportunity to look at the work from a different perspective. I saw how challenges are approached within an organization and what considerations play a role in decision-making. As a result, I now have a better understanding of what clients need and how advice is received in practice.
That experience helped me grow not just professionally, but personally as well.

Maarten Reincke,Consultant Tax ITSOne thing I really appreciate about working at PwC is that collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. You're always working as part of a team and constantly learning from the people around you. And it's not just about technical knowledge.
By working with different colleagues, I've also learned more about myself. How do I respond in certain situations? What do I need to collaborate effectively? And how do other people approach things differently? Those are lessons that stay with you.
The culture at PwC is one of the main reasons I enjoy working here. It's an informal environment where it's easy to connect with colleagues. People are approachable and it's easy to stop by someone's desk for a quick chat, a catch-up or to discuss an idea. That makes collaboration easier and helps you learn from each other more quickly.

Maarten Reincke,Consultant Tax ITSYou also get to know colleagues outside of project work. One of my favourite memories is attending an international course in Paris. A few of us travelled there a couple of days early so we could explore the city together. It's those kinds of experiences that strengthen relationships and make working together even more enjoyable.
For me, working at PwC isn't just about intellectual challenges. It's also about discovering new perspectives, continuing to develop yourself and growing together with others.
