I advise international and listed companies on indirect tax matters. My work includes supporting clients with regulatory issues, compliance and improving their processes. I mainly focus on companies in the agrifood sector.
What makes the job enjoyable is that every client is different. Every organization has its own way of working and its own challenges, so you're constantly adapting. With multiple projects running at the same time, there's always plenty of variety.
The field itself is constantly changing too. New challenges keep emerging, which pushes you to look beyond what you already know and continue developing your expertise.

Experiencing the client's perspective
One experience I look back on very positively is a secondment with a client. That meant temporarily working within their organization instead of advising from the outside. It gave me the opportunity to experience the business world from a completely different perspective.
Suddenly, I wasn't sitting next to the client anymore — I was part of the organization myself. That helped me better understand the decisions clients need to make and the challenges they face every day. It was a valuable experience, both professionally and personally, and it's something that still helps me in my role as an advisor today.

Technology is playing an increasingly important role in our work. AI has become part of our everyday reality. Within our team, we regularly share our experiences and learn from one another.
