Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services (CMAAS) is one of the fastest growing and diverse business units within PwC. Our clients are mainly internationally operating, listed companies and regulated entities. Commercial Services / Capital Markets

Within Commercial Services/Capital Markets, you will advise clients on complex accounting and financial issues relating to IPOs, deals, new IFRS legislation and digital finance, as well as reporting related to non-financial data and the impact of digitisation on their finance function.

As part of the CS/CM team you will gain a wealth of experience with renowned companies in a diverse range of industries, sectors and disciplines. You will be responsible for advising clients on reporting, deal related issues, digital finance and capital markets transactions. In addition, you will handle complex IFRS questions relating to financial statements, mergers, takeovers and spin-offs. You will work with specialists from all over the world with expertise in a vast number of fields. You will also have the opportunity to work on challenging international projects.

Financial Services

The Financial Services (FS) team focuses specifically on providing advice to financial institutions in the field of risk management, accounting, and regulatory. FS is a multidisciplinary team with backgrounds varying from accounting and finance to econometrics and physics.

Within the FS team there are several sub-teams, each with its own expertise. Dependent on your background and interests, you may join a team that specialises in accounting advice for financial institutions (e.g. IFRS 9 and IFRS 17); or a team that supports financial institutions with the interpretation and implementation of prudential regulations (e.g. Basel III/IV, CRR I/II, CRD IV/, IFR/IFD and Solvency II); a team that develops- and validates quantitative risk models (A-IRB, IFRS 9 ECL); or perhaps advises clients on financial compensation to clients as part of Remediation and Conduct Risk. Besides the role as advisor, the FS team supports the PwC Core Assurance colleagues in the audit of financial statements. In particular, in complex areas such as Fair Value estimates and the interpretation of IFRS 17 principles.

Furthermore, you may join a team assisting financial institutions to interpret ESG / Sustainable Finance related regulations (for instance SFDR and EU taxonomy).

Digital

Within our Digital Team, you will advise clients on how to approach issues or improvements they are facing and you will help to develop digital solutions for them. You will gain insight into businesses across a multitude of sectors and have the opportunity to develop yourself technically and personally.

The team comprises full-stack developers, data analysts, data scientists and consultants. The team built and successfully deployed products in:

  • Python (Django, Flask, and FastAPI),
  • R (RShiny),
  • SQL (MSSQL, PostgreSQL),
  • Java (Springboot),
  • Javascript (React, Plotly).
