Embracing the Lean Startup approach

"It all began on a rainy friday afternoon with a big question mark on a whiteboard: Blockchain?"

We started building a community of Blockchain Believers at PwC's Innovation Hub at B. Amsterdam. Soon we acknowledged that simply talking about Blockchain's impact is not enough. Experimenting is the only way to truly understand the real impact and true potential of Blockchain. So we founded the Blockchain Tribe and kicked off at our "Blockchain Experience Lab".

Experimenting is what startups know best. By partnering with Startup Insight’s Lab 15 we embraced the Lean Startup way of working. We managed to build the Proof of Concepts in the Blockchain in 5-day sprints. At the start of each sprint we validated our assumptions relating to the problem in co-creation with industry experts. Through this process of validated learning we identified the root causes of the problem.

After defining the real problem statement, we assessed if Blockchain could provide us with a solution. Through design thinking and mapping the solution for the programmer, we bridged the gap between expert knowledge and programming language. Resulting in four Proof of Concepts built in the Blockchain, solving the real problems identified.
