Financial Services is an important and growing sector within our Accounting Advisory practice. Within the CMAAS Financial Services group, you will advise bankers and insurers on subjects like IFRS 9, risk management and other relevant legislation.
The Financial Services team focuses specifically on providing advice to banks and insurance companies. You will work in a team of experts in the fields of both accounting and legislation relevant to banks, insurers and bank regulators. You will advise and support clients regarding complex issues such as the implementation of Basel III (CRD IV) and Solvency II, as well as the introduction of IFRS 9 and IFRS 4.
Financial Instruments and Accounting specialists advise clients with regard to reporting and valuation of financial instruments. You will also support PwC auditing teams when examining treasury activities and the statuses of financial instruments in the balance sheet (e.g. loans, equity-capital instruments and derivatives). Financial instruments and the related reporting and valuation rules can be extremely complex. Sometimes you function as an accountant, while at other times you're an advisor again.
Within Commercial Services/Capital Markets, you will advise clients on complex accounting and financial issues relating to mergers and takeovers, the sale of business units and amendments to IFRS legislation, as well as giving advice on how to attract new turnover (e.g. via flotation on the stock market).
Within Commercial Services/Capital Markets, you will work on attractive transactions and make acquaintance with the rich diversity of duties performed within the team. You will gain a wealth of experience with renowned client organisations in a diverse range of industries, sectors and disciplines. You will be responsible for advising clients on reporting, deal-related issues and capital-market transactions. In addition, you will handle complex IFRS issues relating to financial statements, mergers, takeovers and spin-offs. You will work with specialists from all over the world with expertise in a vast number of fields. You will also have the opportunity to work on challenging international projects.
Corporate Treasury Solutions professionals help clients with matters such as drawing up and validating treasury policy. You will give advice in the field of treasury organisation, processes and monitoring.
