Adapting to the ongoing digital revolution: from ‘mass media’ to ‘my media’

In the Netherlands, as in other mature markets around the world, the shift in consumption from physical media to digital media is hardly news: the process has been ongoing for several years. But despite this, the entertainment and media industry is still struggling to adapt to the rise of digital media, which is being accelerated by the explosive growth in smart connected devices. Traditional, non-digital media will continue to dominate overall entertainment and media spending in the Netherlands in the next five years, but much of the growth will come from digital.
